Hi Everyone. I'm Tony Pracsovics from Holy Trinity CSS, a high school in Courtice, Ontario, Canada - a small town an hour east of Toronto. I've played around with robotics for years, primarily Lego, while trying to get the students interested as well. Some do, but I often get asked "When can we build REAL robots?" - I guess Lego just doesn't have the same interest quotient in high school as it does in grade school, even though the challenges are very rich and often quite hard! But, if it doesn't have a metallic frame, then it isn't a robot! This is my initial foray with FIRST, and I hope this will meet my students robotics expectations. Looking forward to it!

I agree with you! This is what makes FRC that much more impactful. Students respect the game because it does use more advanced materials.

Hello! My name is Justin Sanders, and I'm a high school Engineering teacher in Birmingham, AL. We competed in our first FRC this past weekend in the Rocket City Regional in Huntsville, AL. I am new to FIRST, and I am looking for training resources for my team. I have found quite a few resources online from organizations as well as other teams. One resource that I will share is the mindmeister.com website. It is a mind mapping tool that is useful for brainstorming and strategizing.
